It actually doesn’t look bad?

Kinja'd!!!

It looks more brutish/less dopey up front and Nissan killed the altezza look the tail lights had. I imagine it would look pretty good in black.

The interior looks nice too (saddle and black, the quick way too my heart,) and that steering wheel looks like it belongs in literally anything besides a 4-pot, CVT crossover.

Kinja'd!!!

I’m really liking this trend of accenting the dash with fabric/leather to match the seats automakers are doing lately.

Now, about that old ass motor.

I think my family’s Rogue my sister drives still has that motor.

Our Rogue was purchased new in 2008. But yes, big fan of Rogue refresh. This is important stuff to me.

I do like where the front end is going. Can’t wait to see a new Juke, or a new Xterra, or a new Frontier, or a new 370Z, or a new...Quest?! Holy cow they are still selling that new?!!

I'm pretty sure it's still the same basic motor the Altima used in the early 00s

It pains me to say but I really enjoy where Nissan is going design wise. They just look awesome IMO. They are *incredibly* slow to update their product line though.

The 2.5? Companies love to use old engines. My dad’s 2015 xB has an early 2000's engine; explains the mere 22 or so MPG.

As long as they keep the high mounted front turn signals on the update I’ll be happy.

The new Frontier exists, the US doesn’t have it yet for some reason:

It seems that they have adopted the Nissan Kicks design language:

And I really like the new steering wheel, very BMW-ish.

Woah, that’s funky. In a good way.

That was my thought as well, looks like something BMW would make.

yep - same 2.5 that was in my wife’s 05 Altima. It really is a punchy motor, impressive in that 2500 to 4000 aggressive freeway ramp pull - just not the greatest for gas mileage...

I’m sure they could sell the Kicks in the US but it would take sales from the Juke as they are the same size. Just that the Kicks uses cheaper components and a less polarizing styling.

New one to me, but I’m told it’s an Americanised X Trail and is also made by Renault Samsung in Korea.

Confusingly Renault Samsung are a lot more Renault than they are Samsung.

Definitely an improvement, although that’s not a huge achievement as the Rogue was one of the ugliest CUVs in its segment.

They used to be a lot more Nissan than either of those two but apparently no one talks about that anymore...
